Kaitos Moses
CV: Suwabe Junichi
Rating: B
Role: Vertigo Rush, Force of Kaitos
Story
Part of the three-man Silver Saint squad, consisting of Misty and Asterion and him, sent to kill Seiya, he has great strength and is able to ride upon the tides.
Skill Analysis
Tidal Palm: Basic attack, 0 cost
Deals 100% (105%/110%/115%/120%) P.DMG to 1 enemy.
Cetus Vortex Punch: Single-target attack, 1 cost
He raises a gigantic wave to attack an enemy 2 times, each attack dealing 60% (65%/70%/75%/80%) P.DMG. The enemy is knocked upwards if the target has less HP than Moses.
Tip: Moses main skill, the damage multiplier is decent and attacks multiple times. Take note of the precondition to launch a third attack.
Passive skill - Giant Cetus: Seventh Sense Awakening skill, stun, 0 cost
When Moses deals damage, he has a 15% (17%/19%/21%/23%) (+Inflict Status Chance) chance to stun the enemy for one round.
Tip: Control skill.
Analysis
Moses is a B-class Character and only has three skills. His attributes aren’t anything special but his passive control and multi-attack skill are quite good. 15% is not very high, but it can still be a nasty control. That’s why Moses is a single-control character and usually works as a support.
Cosmo
Build 1:
Red: Physical Stone (P.ATK & P.DEF)
Yellow: Seiya (Inflict Status Chance & HP)
Blue: Staunch (P.Crit)
Special Cosmo: Kingfisher (HP) (Crits have a 70% chance to deal true damage. Damage dealt is equal to attack or crit damage, whichever is highest.)
For red we take Physical Stone as it increases both attack and defense. For yellow we take Dual Defense, increasing his survivability, and Staunch for blue makes sure that Kingfisher is triggered more often. (make adjustments according to your own lineup)
Build 2:
Red: Fire Drop (P.ATK & P.Crit)
Yellow: Dual Defense (P.DEF & C.DEF)
Blue: New Moon (P.DEF & SPD)
Special Cosmo: Decelerator (Attacks reduce the target's SPD by 30, for 2 rounds).
For Blue we take New Moon increasing his speed. He won't be able to act first, but most controls are reliant on SPD. Decelerator is a great way for low-SPD controllers to get the upper hand against high-SPD controllers. Couple that with Moses’ triple-combo attack and you are capable of breaking the enemy’s stride.
Lineup
In light of Moses’ skills, the following lineups are commended:
1. Moses + Luna: Multiple attacks and 1 energy cost works very well when using Luna’s extra moves. This increases Moses’ damage as well as ability to control.
2. Moses + Aiolia: Due to Aiolia’s special skill, a good control makes his Lion’s Fang all that much stronger.
3. Moses + Yuzuriha: His 1 energy cost skill works wonders when coupled with Yuzuriha’s battle assist.
Conclusion: In actuality, Moses’ chance to stun is actually quite high. And seeing as stuns cannot be dispelled, he is quite a good control character.
Counters
Moses is a control character that relies on chance. Normally he won't be your first target, but as his skills are rather special, you can use AoE attacks to wear him down. If he has less HP than his target, then his third attack won't trigger.
